Board of Park Commissioners The Board of Park Commissioners consists of not-less than three members, appointed by the Mayor and City Council for a one-year term. Members of the Board of Park Commissioners must be owners of or tenants in real property in the City of Bridgeport and be qualified electors of the City. The purpose of the Board of Park Commissioners is to oversee operations of the Parks and Recreation facilities of the City, including the Swimming Pool, Parks, and Museum, including rules and regulations for the management, use, and operation of the facilities. The Board of Park Commissioners meets monthly (the second Monday of the month) at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 809 Main Street. The official proceedings of all regular, special, and emergency meetings of the Board of Park Commissioners are posted online (below). |
