Public Works

The City of Bridgeport Public Works Department includes the Water, Waste Water, Electric, Street, and Trash Departments. The Public Works Director and Street Superintendent are Mayor appointed positions, and report to the City Administrator. The Utility Asssistants are hired by and report to the City Administrator and Public Works Director.

The Public Department is responsible for all public works operations of the City, including the operation and maintenance of the water, waste water, storm water, electric, and street infrastructure.
