BRIDGEPORT – Due to the recent rains, The City of Bridgeport will begin spraying for mosquitoes this week.

Beginning Friday, the City will spray the insecticide around 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays weekly through the summer. The spraying could last until midnight. Adverse weather conditions, such as high winds and rain will cause a postponement of the spraying for the evening.

The City will be using a new insecticide this year, and will be spraying the product in the streets instead of the alleys.
